BIOGRAFIA

(Trento, 1969) Si forma all’Accademia di Brera e alla Ryerson University di Toronto. Ha esposto alla 55. Biennale di Venezia nel 2013 invitato dal Padiglione Maldive, alla 54. Biennale di Venezia con un evento collaterale personale, a Manifesta7 nel 2008 e alla 1° Biennale di Singapore. Nel 2015 il progetto “The Body of Energy (of the mind)” è stato presentato al Maxxi di Roma, al Madre di Napoli, al Maga di Gallarate, a Museion di Bolzano, alla Kunsthalle di San Gallo, allo ZKM di Karlsruhe e al Museum Folkwang di Essen. Nel 2014 ha vinto il premio Visit della fondazione tedesca RWE e nel 2009 il Premio Terna per l’Arte contemporanea. Tra il 1995 e il 2015 ha partecipato a numerose residenze d’artista e ricevuto borse di studio fra le quali: International Center of Photography a New York; International Studio and Curatorial Program ISCP a New York; BAR International a Kirkenes, nell’Artico.

He was born in Trento, in 1969. He studied at the Brera’s Accademy and at the Ryerson University in Toronto. He exposed at the 55 Biennale of Venice in 2013 and at the 54 Biennale of Venice, at Manifesta 7 in 2008 and at first Biennale of Singapore. In 2015 the project “The Body of Energy (of the mind)” has been presented at the Maxxi of Rome, at the Madre of Naples, at Museum Folkwang of Essen. In 2014 he won the “Visit” price of the German foundation RWE and in 2009 the Terna price for the contemporary art. Between the 1995 and the 2015 he has participated in numerous artist’s residences and he also received scholarships such as: International Center of Photography in New York, International Studio and Curatorial Program ISCP in New York and BAR International in Kirkenes.
